Self-Possession

A daily practice, minute to minute, of returning to a grounded seat in one's own backbone, power, and dignity — the temple within. Not just steadiness under pressure, but the ongoing work of recognizing the impulse to reach, stretch, appease, or shrink, and coming back to the still, observing awareness that is always there, apart from the stories, where one can find respite. Its absence looks like seeking validation, collapsing into anxiety or depressive loops, masking behind a puffed-up ego, abandoning oneself or avoiding others, going into survival mode. This is not arrogance, vanity, or pretending. It also means honoring the temple within others — so that giving and receiving happen in peace, everyone empowered in their own dignity, free to feel and traverse their feelings.
